Inger Lis Hansen
Dansk

Inger Lis Hansen's universe consists of mythical creatures, everyday life and animals. She rides horses, dyes yarn with plants, collects mushrooms, knits, embroiders when she is not painting. Her inspiration is currently drawn from the frescoes of medieval churches, which are full of fantasy, heaven and hell, and all the stories that our culture is so rich in. Inger Lis' paintings resurrect the blacksmith and the knight, the court lady and the snake in a new context, namely in watercolors.
Inger Lis grew up in West Jutland, and developed her creative abilities early with an inspiring art teacher. The best gift back then was always colors. It still is now.
She became a nurse for many years, had a husband and children, and can now dedicate herself fully to her creative work and her many interests. Inger Lis is alert and curious. She constantly innovates and likes to incorporate new materials or new themes into her works.
She has participated in many courses, including at the Aarhus Academy of Fine Arts. She is a member of the artist group Nuance, which is both a painting and exhibition community. It has resulted in many exhibitions, including state-recognized censored exhibitions.
